Alumni Highlights: Top 5 Shinning Alumni This Month
Fred Thomas Jr.
Fred was currently featured on TV One's R&B Diva's LA, where
he carried out the pivotal role as the director of the Diva-Louges. Before
the hit reality show, Fred was a NAACP theatre award-winning
Director, Writer and Producer. Fred's passion for writing, directing and
producing began at none other than Lincoln University where he obtained
a Bachelors in Journalism. He later achieved his Masters in Film and Media
Arts from Temple University and has spent the past 12 years furthering
his success in LA. Many may also know him from the Budweiser “WASSUP”
commercials. Check out his most recent play 12’ x 9’ which was nominated
seven times and won 3 NAACP theatre awards for Best Producer, Best Director
and Best Playwright.

Courtney Williams
Courtney is a state finalist for the Miss Maryland USA 2014 Pageant.
Miss Maryland USA 2014 pageant is taking place, November 1st- 3rd,
2013 at the Bethesda Marriott North Conference Center in Bethesda,
MD. Interviews take place Friday, with Preliminaries on Saturday 2pm.
Finals and Crowning are Sunday at 6pm. The winner of Miss Maryland
USA 2014 will go on to the Miss USA pageant in Las Vegas, NV in
early June live on NBC.

Venold "Junior" Johnson
Venold “Junior” Johnson began singing at his home church in
Woodbury, N.J., at the age of five. Performing in a variety of
talent shows, Junior earned credit for his musical gift at an early age.
He was said to be reminiscent of noted gospel vocalist, Kim Burrell,
by Stevie Wonder at a post BET Awards 2012 party. He stretched the
scope of his celebrity with his vocal confessionals on YouTube, which
caught the attention of many industry heavy weights such as “Big Jim”
Wright. Junior has served as a vocal coach to BET’s Music Matters
artist, Jessy Wilson and provided in-studio vocal referencing for artists
such as Keyshia Cole, Faith Evans and producer Guordan Bans.
Junior's vocal prowess and keen ear have earned him national following.
Most recently, Johnson’s funky style and infectious personality carried him to spot in the final four on BET’s Sunday Best
season six. Crooning songs such as “What a Friend W Have in Jesus” and Pastor, John P Kee’s classic,
“Standing in the Need of Prayer” stamped his versatility on the series. Since the show, Johnson has been in
the studio recording for his forthcoming project. His official single, “Glory to The King” is due out this fall.

Martrice McCall

University with a B.S. in Health Science and Human Service minor.
As a student at Lincoln, she became involved on campus through joining
organizations such a Higher Better Movement and Quest II Womanhood.

through volunteering her time to the community by becoming a member of
organizations such as Girl Scouts, Girls Incorporated, and Teens Rejecting
Abusive Smoking Habits. As a teen, Martrice had the opportunity to spend a
day on Capitol Hill with female Olympians speaking to state legislators about
Title IX, a bill about equality in high school sports. Donate to Matrice's support
